Hi friends i Quote this words because it tell about my first day in my uir class which give me something which is very interesting ...nothing much but to make a blog of myself.. The excitement about that day is that it is full of surprises. Every thing we do, every conversation we have, will not be repeated in just the same way again, and this reminds us how special each of us conversate in the first class through messenger.....

Here comes my second day of my uir class......

Today Lessons was on finding ONE aspect of the topic that you would like to know more about.
i joined with my partener in this class and decided to pick up a topic which suit our interests ie. related to cricket....the only question which rose in our mind was about the best players..so we decided to find .......Who is the best test player in 2006? ......

From my side i use search engines such us Altavista,google and my friend use google and yahoo...my fortunately or unfortunately during our dicussion session we find out that our findings match..ie Australian captain Ricky Ponting was the best player 2006.

What new discovery will I make today?

All resourses cannot be trust full as different people got different views on same topics…_________________________________________________________________

In this session, we were asked to find out 4 websites with a combination of subject based, personal, and organisational, which is related to my topic ie.'Impact of terrorism on world economy'.

In this activity i use Google,Altavista, and Yahoo, search engines for my relavent results.
As a resultof this activity i realised the fact that Subject based websites are focused on a particular subject. The materials in that site will be related to that particular subject only.
Personal websites are created and managed by persons, while organizational sites managed by organizations. Personal websites will be related to our personal interests.

Today's lesson, i searched for 4 new websites with different objectives.So here it goes...

It is a website managed by the news paper, The Hindu. It shows various

This site will send articles on different subjects to those who is
In need for it only. It tries to influence peoples opinion by encouraging

This website gives a lot of information about the changes occurred in oil industry as
a result of the terrorist attack in September 11 .

hi....this is my fifth week
2day am going to blog about the 3 diffrent search engine that i used to get related information of my topic.The 3 types of search engine i used was the Meta search engine, normal search engine and last but not least subject directory...So here it goes..

Search Engine - Google

This search engine compiled all the related website very easily and it hits 1,400,000 relavent results.But the results have no relavent ranking..

Meta Search Engine-ixquick

This meta-search engine give me relavent results and the results are of relavent ranking.It hits 12,899,352 results related to my topic.But one thing i observed is that the searching process is bit slower compared to other search engines.

Subject Directory-Yahoo

This search engine give me results which were accurate to a certain extend only but not as the search engines.Eventhough it hits 586,000 results, the results were not having any relavant ranking also.

The purpose of each resource was so useful and related to my research topic.

In case of Ixquick it gives us the most relevant results. But it doesn’t have the capability to reach out to more search locations.
Google can give us more number and relevant results. But it doesn’t shows the relevance of the results.
Subject Directories such as Yahoo are of small range because it is human compiled. But they are well organized.

In this session search engine Google meet my need related to my topic, as it gave me more number and relevant results.
